Blake2b ASIC Miners

BLAKE2b is a cryptographic hashing algorithm used by several proof-of-work networks. The miners in this collection are primarily designed for BLAKE2b-Sia, the algorithm traditionally used to mine Siacoin.

BLAKE2b-Sia ASIC miners are primarily used to mine Siacoin (SC). Compatible models may also participate in the experimental Bitcoin BLAKE2b hard-fork chain through supported pools or a properly configured solo-mining setup.

A BLAKE2b miner cannot mine BTC on the dominant Bitcoin SHA-256 network. However, compatible BLAKE2b-Sia miners may mine the separate Bitcoin BLAKE2b fork. Coins generated on this fork are not the same asset as main-network BTC.

Pool/project-listed: Our evidence review dated September 8, 2026 identifies iBeLink BM-S3+ and BM-S3, Goldshell SC Lite, SC5 Pro, SC-BOX and HS5 in Sia mode as explicitly named by pool or project documentation.

Pending verification: BM-S1 Max, SC5 Pro II and SC-BOX II are not covered by evidence for similarly named models. Other models require their own evidence; sharing the BLAKE2b-Sia algorithm is not certification.

The September 8, 2026 review of AlphaPool documentation found BM-S3+ explicitly listed with stock Sia firmware and port 7777. This is pool-listed evidence, not a BT-Miners connection or payout test. Check the pool’s current instructions and your exact firmware before setup.

Firmware requirements depend on the exact model and selected pool. A stock-firmware statement for BM-S3+ does not establish support for every BLAKE2b-Sia ASIC. Check the documented firmware, Sia mode and Stratum settings for your unit, then verify accepted shares, credited rewards and payout separately.

Use a new wallet created specifically for the BLAKE2b fork, preferably through its compatible Bitcoin Knots build. Never import a seed phrase or private key that controls real BTC into an experimental or unaudited fork wallet. Standard Bitcoin exchange deposit addresses may not support or credit forked coins.

BTCB2 estimates are unavailable on this page. SC, HNS and hashrate-rental estimates describe different income sources and must not be treated as BTCB2 earnings. Any profitability comparison needs a stated coin and mode, data timestamp, electricity rate, pool fees and other operating costs. Fork-coin liquidity and actual payouts also need verification; neither profit nor a payback period is guaranteed.

Some miners list their BLAKE2b-Sia equipment on compatible hashrate marketplaces such as Mining Rig Rentals. Rental income is determined by market demand and may differ significantly from direct Siacoin or fork mining revenue. Rental prices can change rapidly and are not guaranteed.

It shares Bitcoin’s transaction history up to the fork point but follows a separate blockchain after changing its proof-of-work algorithm at block 961,640. The dominant Bitcoin network continues to use SHA-256d and is recognized as BTC by major exchanges, wallets and mining pools. The BLAKE2b fork remains an experimental minority network.
