Goldshell HS5: Siacoin mining and BTCB2 compatibility
Goldshell HS5 is listed for selectable Siacoin and Handshake mining modes. Compare hashrate and power within the same mode; these are not simultaneous rewards.
| Mode / network | Rated hashrate | Rated power | Basis |
|---|---|---|---|
| Siacoin (SC) | 5.4 TH/s | 1,500 W | AlphaPool listed rating; confirm batch |
| Handshake (HNS) | 2.7 TH/s | 2,650 W | Existing store rating |
Can Goldshell HS5 mine BTCB2?
Pool/project-listed. BTCB2 here means Bitcoin BLAKE2b, the independent BLAKE2b chain; it is neither SHA-256 Bitcoin (BTC) nor Siacoin (SC). AlphaPool explicitly names HS5 in Sia mode. Handshake mode is not the BTCB2 mining mode. Compatibility evidence / specification source (checked September 8, 2026).
For a BTCB2 trial, select the BLAKE2b/Sia mode. The Handshake algorithm combines BLAKE2b and SHA3 and is not interchangeable with BTCB2 work.
No BT-Miners hardware test is claimed. Network connection, accepted shares, pool reward credit and a completed payout are four separate checks. Confirm the exact firmware, work mode and pool protocol on one unit before expanding.
What should I check before buying?
Confirm the selected unit’s electrical input, circuit capacity, wall power, ventilation, condition and firmware. Store ratings do not establish BTCB2 earnings. Use a wallet explicitly supporting this chain and keep its setup separate from BTC and SC.
Are the displayed earnings BTCB2 income?
BTCB2 estimate unavailable. No reliable BTCB2 valuation and end-to-end mining data were verified for this listing. Do not interpret a Siacoin, Handshake or rental estimate as BTCB2 revenue. Check the calculator’s selected coin, data time, fees and electricity assumptions; profitability and payback are not guaranteed.

(1) The hashrate value, power on wall, and power efficiency on wall are all typical values. The actual hashrate value fluctuates by ±3%, and the actual power on wall and power efficiency on wall fluctuate by ±5%.
(2) Caution: Wrong input voltage may cause server damaged.
(3) The noise is loudest when the fan is under maximum RPM(rotation per minute).
(4) When the server is used at an altitude from 900m to 2000m, the highest operating temperature decreases by 1℃ for every increase of 300m.
