Blake2s
Blake2 is a cryptographic hash function that is an upgraded variant of the SHA-3 hashing algorithm. Blake2 algorithm has two variations. There is the usual Blake2b, which is designed for 64-bit systems. Blake2s on the other hand, which is optimized for smaller architectures ranging from 8 to 32-bit platforms. Blake2s' key benefit is that it is simpler, more secure, and quicker, and these traits provide some mining advantages. Given that the nature of Blake 2s being ASIC-resistant, and no strong ASICs or FPGAs are currently available for it. It is totally GPU-mineable. However, there are presently just a handful coins that use Blake2's hashing method. Prodominately, a privacy-focused cryptocurrency called Verge (XVG) and multi-algorithm coin named Shield (XSH).
