Blake2S
Blake2s is another more optimized variant of Blake. Explicitly, this cryptographic hash function uses 32-bit platforms, capable of leveraging native processing capabilities. Such design not only leads to enhanced performance in data hashing but is also programmed with the ability to protect data from random security attacks. This algorithm is programmed with a digest size ranging from 8 to 256 bits. This specific feature allows flexibility in choosing the desired hash output rate for users. Various blockchain platforms, such as Kadena, Verge (XVG), Shield (XSH), and Honey (HONEY), utilize BLAKE2s for hashing transactions. This approach ensures that the integrity of the blockchain ledger is maintained securely and efficiently.
